Accountant/ Controller

Balchem is seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountant to strengthen our growing presence in Northern Europe. Key Responsibilities

· Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including handling incoming and outgoing invoices.

· Ensure compliance with Norwegian GAAP, VAT, and Tax requirements.

· Conduct account reconciliations and support monthly and annual closings.

· Execute and maintain internal controls for designated areas. · Participate in controlling activities, such as budget tracking and performance analysis.

· Produce and review internal reporting, providing actionable financial insights and support to management for effective decision-making and oversight.

· Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows.

Qualifications

· A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Audit.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with SOX/internal control frameworks.

· Strong understanding of Norwegian GAAP, VAT, and Tax regulations (required).

· Proficiency in Excel is essential; familiarity with Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus.

· Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is an advantage.

· Fluency in Norwegian and English is required; proficiency in German is beneficial.
