Job description

As our new process operator, you will become a member of a startup team of a top-modern chemical production facility with unique and exciting technology and a high degree of complexity. You will operate the production facility, carry out maintenance, log in batch protocols, as well as participate actively in our continuous improvement work. This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the art plant built after high safety standards, at an international organization in growth. All our employees must have full focus on teamwork, HSE and quality. The position reports to the Plant's Operations Manager. 

Job summary:

  • Reception, registration, sampling and control of raw materials, intermediates and final product.
  • Daily, hands-on operation of production, including control of raw material quantities, preparation of solvents, cleaning of production equipment as required, maintaining batch protocols, continuous monitoring of important production parameters, waste management, etc.
  • Labeling and storage of raw materials, intermediates and final products according to SOPs and batch protocols.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems with equipment or processes
  • Monitoring and recording production data and making adjustments as needed to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Working with other team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency
  • Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment


Job requirements

Candidate profile:

  • Relevant work experience as a production / process operator within chemical, pharmaceutical, food or other chemical process facility.
  • Vocational training certificate as a process operator / process technician (fagbrev kjemiprosess) combined with relevant work experience in the process industry.
  • Good technical insight
  • Experience with organic chemistry is an advantage
  • Experience with automation is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English & Norwegian (or other Scandinavian language).
