Job description

As S&OP Manager Europe, you will lead one of the most critical business processes across Balchem's European operations. Leading a team of planners, you will bring together Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and Product Management to ensure demand, supply, capacity, and inventory strategies remain aligned. Through strong leadership, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, you will help drive operational excellence and support the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the European S&OP process, ensuring alignment between commercial plans, operational capabilities, and business priorities.

  • Drive demand, supply, inventory, and capacity planning across Balchem's European manufacturing network.

  • Facilitate cross-functional planning reviews and support executive decision-making.

  • Develop forecasting, reporting, and planning processes that improve visibility, performance, and business outcomes.

  • Lead inventory strategies that balance customer service, operational efficiency, and working capital objectives.

  • Monitor supply chain performance and implement actions to mitigate risks and improve service levels.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supply Chain Planners.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning excellence, inventory optimization, and supply chain efficiency.

Job requirements

We are looking for an experienced supply chain leader who combines strong analytical capabilities with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and countries.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in S&OP, supply chain planning, integrated business planning, or related disciplines within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience leading cross-functional planning processes and managing planning teams.

  • Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and capacity planning.

  • Experience working with ERP, MRP, and supply chain planning systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools is an advantage.

  • Ability to interpret market trends, customer dynamics, and commercial strategies and translate into business insights

  • Ability to work effectively in a complex international and matrix environment.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
