Job description

As our new Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products to verify compliance with established specifications and quality standards. You will work with a range of analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation while supporting investigations, stability programs, method verification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing of raw materials, in-process control, and finished product samples to verify compliance with established specifications.

  • Conduct analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, TLC, and other approved test methods.

  • Investigate Out-of-Specification Out-of-Trend and atypical results in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Perform stability testing and maintain accurate stability study records.

  • Record and review analytical results in compliance with established procedure and data integrity requirements.

  • Maintain and calibrate QC laboratory instruments

  • Participate in interlaboratory comparison studies, proficiency testing programs, and method verification activities.

  • Perform routine laboratory housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

  • Carry out special projects and actively participate in cross-functional teams, continuous improvement initiatives, and site development activities.

Job requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical laboratory or process laboratory, preferably within industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, or chemical process industries.

  • Hands-on experience with Liquide Chromatography (HPLC) and wet chemistry analyses is essential. Experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) is considered an advantage. Experience with Chromatography Data Systems or chromatography management software is considered an advantage.

  • Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, ISO 17025, or similar regulated environments is preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate analytical issues, OOS, OOT, and non-conforming results.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is considered an advantage.
